    Silverthorne Theater Company presents the first mainstage production of our 2025 summer season, Jordan Harrison's The Amateurs. Directed by Gina Kaufmann, performances will take place at the Mainstage Theater at Hampshire College in Amherst, from June 13th - 22nd. In this Pulitzer Prize finalist, a rag-tag theater troupe races across medieval Europe, struggling to outrun the Black Death. Their performances of crowd-pleasers such as “The Seven Deadly Sins” and “Noah’s Ark” are juxtaposed with witty, contemporary-feeling relationships, surprising sexual attractions and status games. The Amateurs examines the value of art and creativity in the face of an epic crisis.     Our first Theater Thursday reading of 2026! Silverthorne Theater Company presents a staged reading of playwright Geetha Reddy’s new play, The Employee Dharma Handbook. Directed by Hia Ghosh and Rose Schwietz Malla, the reading will take place at 7:00pm on Thursday, April 2nd, 2026 at Holyoke Media in Holyoke as a part of Silverthorne’s 2026 Theater Thursdays reading series, with a talkback to follow. Starring Meena Cunniffe, Hia Ghosh, Sabine Denise Jacques, Suraj Malla, and Saikiran Mullaguri, with stage directions read by Urgyen Joshi.
